About St. Philip's Preschool

We provide families in the Hastings area with a preschool program in a warm and nurturing Christian environment.

Variety of Experiences

A wide variety of learning experiences are provided to promote the development of each child.  Enriching activities are also included to provide for individual spiritual growth through the use of Bible stories, prayers, songs, and lessons in a non-denominational manner. Each teacher carefully plans educational experiences that relate to a different theme each week.

We use the following programs for our curriculum:
~Learning Without Tears (Math, Language, Literacy, Writing)
~Conscious Discipline (Social/Emotional)
~Little Steps. Big Faith (Christian-based stories)

Good Communication

A written summary of each week's activities is sent home, and newsletters and activity calendars keep parents advised of upcoming themes and events.

Our Staff

A professional staff has been selected based on educational background, early childhood training, teaching experience, and sensitivity to the needs of young children. One teacher and one assistant teacher will work with each group of 16 children.  

We are inspected and licensed on a regular basis by the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services.  Parents are welcome to visit the center at any time. We value parent-teacher communication throughout the year!
